£76k farming machines stolen

A green and yellow John Deere 6920 Tractor and a red and yellow Hay Buster straw machine were stolen from a farm on the Dromore Road, Dromara on Thursday night or the early hours of Friday morning.

Police say that there have been a number of high value farming machinery thefts that have been stolen over the last two weeks in the Lisburn area and would appeal to witnesses of the thefts to come forward.

The tractor registration is SK05DHJ and is valued at around £33k whilst the Haybuster is valued at £43k and is the only one of its kind in Ireland.

The incident is believed to have occurred between 3am and 6am on Friday morning.

It is belived that the vehicle had been driven in the direction of the Gallbog Road, Kinallen.
