£95k - £110K for top job in new Mid Ulster super council
The chief executive who will lead the new ‘super council’ of Magherafelt, Cookstown and Dungannon, can expect a salary of between £95,000 and £110,000.
An advertisement for the top job in the new Mid Ulster district has appeared in a number of newspapers. The closing date for applications is December 9.
In all, the Northern Ireland Executive is looking to recruit chief executives for eleven new council areas.

Hide AdAs part of a radical reform programme, the number of councils is dropping from 26 to 11.
It’s understood the appointments will initially be made by ‘Statutory Transition Committees’ in advance of the creation of the new councils in 2014.
These new councils will then operate in shadow form alongside the existing 26, before taking up their full range of responsibilities in April 2015.
