PSCP to hold police engagement meetings in the area

Armagh Banbridge and Craigavon Policing & Community Safety Partnership (PCSP) is holding police engagement meetings for the Banbridge and Lagan River areas in the coming weeks.

The PCSP will be holding its first police engagement meeting on Thursday 9th June at 7.30pm in Dromore Bowling Pavilion.

This will be followed up by a second meeting on Tuesday 14th June, 7pm in The Old Town Hall, Banbridge.

Neighbourhood Watch groups, local community representatives and members of the public interested in working with the police and the PCSP to prevent crime are warmly invited to attend.

The purpose of the meetings is to discuss what the key issues are within your local area and to give local people the opportunity to put forward any views, issues or concerns directly to the Police.

Key issues that will be discussed will include burglary, rural crime, the Text Alert Scheme for Neighbourhood Watch Coordinators and any other issues that may arise.

Chairman of the PCSP, Councillor Robert Smith said: “We would like to encourage as many people as possible to attend this meeting,.

“It is a great opportunity to raise issues directly with the Police and Policing and Community Safety Partnership to find local solutions to local problems and concerns.”

These events are part of seven which have been organised to take place through the ABC council area.
