PSNI appeal after Cityside burglaries

Police in Foyle say they are investigating a series of four linked burglaries in the Cityside.

The incidents took place in the Carnhill and Slievemore Park areas between Sunday, October 11 and Wednesday, October 14.

Detectives investigating the incidents say they are seeking to identify a man described as being in his late 40s or early 50s, of stocky build, with closely shaven hair.

The man spoke with a southern accent.

According to police, he was seen by residents at two of the houses.

A mobile phone was stolen from one house and a tablet computer from another.

Properties were entered via unlocked doors. Detectives would like to hear form anyone who can help identify the man seen in the area, or who saw any suspicious activity. Information can be given on the police non-emergency number, 101, or by calling the Crimestoppers Charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
