PSNI ask for public's help following theft

The PSNI Craigavon have asked for the public's help following an incident which took place between 8am and 2pm on Saturday, March 25.

A white Renault van was broken into in the car park at Lough Road services, Lurgan, near Friar Tucks when the thief, or thieves, drilled through or knocked out the lock at the back of the van.

Several high value tools were taken from the van and they were: a green Hitachi circular saw; a green Hitachi jigsaw; a green Makita kango hammer; a black and white Makita cordless drill; a green Makita hammer drill and a green Makita rotisipating drill.

If anyone should find anything matching that description lying around please don’t handle it, contact the police straight away.

The police would also orge anyone who is offered these items for sale or see someone who suddenly has some new tools matching the description to also call them.

If you saw a white Renault van in the car park at that time, almost certainly with another vehicle parked beside it loading gear in, please get in touch.

The victim worked hard to pay for these tools and having his means of work stolen is a double blow.

If you know anything please contact PSNI Craigavon. Alternatively you can speak to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. Please quote the incident number - 485 of 26/03/17.
