PSNI at scene of sudden death of man in NI town

It is understood a relative found the body of the man in a flat in Portadown last night.

Police are currently at the scene in Magowan House in West St.

A Post Mortem is to be carried out.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police are currently at the scene of the sudden death of a man at a flat in the West Street area of Portadown.

“A post mortem examination will be carried out in due course to determine the cause of death.

“There are no further details at present.”

Upper Bann MLA Jonathan Buckley said: “This is a tragic and untimely death that has come of great shock to the people of Portadown.

“The family and friends of this individual are very much in my thoughts and prayers, and I wish them comfort in the days ahead.”
