PSNI praised by burglary victim

Our house was ransacked recently while we were out for Sunday lunch. Our three young children were very upset and could not understand why people could do this.

We contacted the PSNI and they arrived within 30 minutes. The CID also called later on in the evening and again on Monday morning. I must say I found the police officers to be extremely courteous, well mannered, professional and empathetic in our time of need.

In a culture of ‘blame’ it is the PSNI often who are given negative feedback and blamed for the crimes/injustice in our society.

Despite these mindless lawbreakers who show no respect to people and their property we have been overwhelmed by friends/neighbours responses to our burglary. So as we said to our children - people are generally good.
