PSNI warning over fake MTV tickets
Police in Londonderry say they are receiving complaints about fake MTV Crashes tickets.
A PSNI spokesman said police had received several complaints about what appeared to be fake tickets for this month’s MTV Crashes event being sold on social media sites.
Chief Inspector Tony Callaghan people who had contacted the social media site had then met a man in various locations in the city centre and money had changed hands for tickets.
The Chief Inspector said: “Please do not be taken in by these messages. The event sold out weeks ago. Do not buy tickets from unknown sources. Also remember that tickets are non-transferrable.”
