Public consultation on Mid Ulster District Council's new Peace IV Plan

The aim of the latest plan is to make significant and lasting changes to peace, reconciliation and cohesion between communities that will build on the experiences of the previous PEACE Programmes.

Mid Ulster District Council will focus on three of the Programme’s four key priorities: Children and Young People, Shared Spaces and Services and Building Positive Relations.

The consultation sessions will take place on: Monday, 4 April at 7pm at Council Offices, Dungannon; Tuesday, 5 April at 11am at Council Offices, Cookstown and Wednesday, 6 April at 7pm at Council Offices, Magherafelt.

Chair of Mid Ulster District Council, Councillor Linda Dillon hopes people will come along and take advantage of having this chance to voice their views.

She said: “The public consultation sessions to discuss the Council’s new Peace IV programme offer the public the unique opportunity of actually being involved and having a say in a very important piece of work. “

The Mid Ulster council chairperson added: “What comes out of these consultations will help shape the new Peace IV plan and identify the main peace building priorities it will focus on in our area. So please come along and have your say!”
