Public invited to learn more about new leisure centre

Members of the public, community groups, traders/Rushmere are pitching up this Saturday at Craigavon Watersports Centre to find out more about Craigavon Borough Council’s new leisure centre.

Starting at 10am as part of the wider engagement plan, people can expect to experience some outdoor activities including boat trips and the climbing wall and have the chance to check out the site for the new the centre.

“There’s also an audio visual screen with design board to show people what the site will potentially look like”, said Chair of Leisure Services Committee Councillor Noel McGeown, “Council staff will also be there to answer any questions people may have.”

“We’ve already had an extensive consultation process to ask what people want in the centre. But we still want as many people to come to see where the new centre will sit alongside the Lakes.”
