Public meeting on National Parks
The Public Meeting on the issue of National Parks in Moyle has had one high-profile pullout, Alex Attwood MLA, the minister involved has said he cannot attend.
“This meeting was arranged around his diary, so for Mr Attwood to pull out at 11th hour is very frustrating” Sinn Féin councillor Cara McShane said.
“It just adds to the frustration and scepticism around the whole issue of the Causeway national park proposal, with some people reading his last minute cancellation as a sign that the idea will be pushed through without consulting all sides. The meeting on the 14th November is to give the public both information and a chance to be heard, so it is highly disappointing that this has happened.”
