Public meeting over courthouse closure plan

A public meeting is to be held in Ballymena tomorrow, Tuesday, March 31, over proposals by The Department for Justice to close Ballymena Courthouse in 2016.

The public meeting is being held at 4pm in Court 2, Ballymena Courthouse, and is being called by Antrim & Ballymena Solicitors Association.

Earlier this year, Justice Minister David Ford issued a consultation on a proposal to axe eight of Northern Ireland’s 20 courthouses, arising from budget cuts.
