Public meetings for Ulsterbus

ULSTERBUS is inviting its passengers to attend public gatherings to discuss changes to the Foyle City bus services, planned for September 1.

All topics are welcome, and with no proposals in place, everything is up for discussion.

Local Translink Service Delivery Manager Alan Young said the changes would be in line with ongoing developments and regeneration within the City: "The City needs a bus service that reflects the ongoing renaissance of the area. Therefore, we want to engage with communities to discuss possible changes and let local people have the opportunity to share their comments and views on new proposals.

"We have organised a series of local roadshows for the public to come and engage with their local Ulsterbus representatives and would encourage anyone with an interest in the future of the City's bus service to come along and get involved.

"We are also asking local community groups to help raise awareness about the roadshows in their local areas and encourage residents to come along and have their say," said Mr Young.

The Translink Ulsterbus public roadshows will take place on June 14 at Foyle Street Bus Station from 2pm – 5pm, June 15 outside St Mary's Community Hall from 10am-1pm, June 15 in Springtown Shopping Centre from 2pm to 5pm and June 16 outside the Caw Centre, Kinsale Park, Nelson Drive from 2pm – 5pm.
