Krzysztof Zdunek, Princeton Avenue, Lurgan, was fined £200, with a £15 offender’s levy, for disorderly behaviour on June 14 this year.

The court heard that at 1.55am in Union Street, Lurgan, police saw the defendant in the middle of the road. He was shouting and kicking a black object.

He was heard to say ‘f**k’ and picked up the object which was a baseball cap. He put it on his head and shouted ‘f**k’ again.

Zdunek then punched the window and door of a house with his closed fist, sustaining a cut on his finger.

When asked for his identity he wouldn’t tell police and was arrested for disorderly behaviour. He replied: “I didn’t hurt anybody.”

His solicitor said this was bizarre behaviour after the defendant had too much to drink.

He had been celebrating a friend’s birthday, and was on his way home.

He added that Zdunek recalled very little about the incident but accepted his behaviour was inappropriate. He had far too much to drink.

District Judge, Mr Peter King, said it was bizarre behaviour which could only be explained by alcohol.
