Pupil disciplined after ‘blade’ injury

A DROMORE High School pupil has been disciplined after an incident in which a box-cutter type blade(s) he was carrying on his person resulted in the injury of another boy.

The injured boy is said to have sustained a cut to his leg, though The Leader understands there was no deliberate act, and no actual knife, involved in the incident, which took place about two weeks ago.

Dromore High School principal, Mr. John Wilkinson, said the necessary disciplinary procedure was followed.

“The school,” he said, “continues to be vigilant with regard to items brought into school which may cause damage to pupils or the school building.

“With regard to the incident, both boys were dealt with properly and protocol followed.”
