YEAR 12 pupils at Dunluce School, Bushmills took part in another successful Interview Skills Training Day. This annual event, directed by Barbara Hume, involved the following volunteer advisors from industry and education.

These included Davy Loughrey, Teresa Mullan, Helen McNeill and Helen Mullan from Dunluce School; Barbara Hume, programme facilitator; Suzanne Breslin, Bombardier, Colin Gibson ex-PSNI; Tracey Jamison and Chris Warke, Rutledge Recruitment; Sharon Logan and Shannon Doherty, NWRC; Kelly Neill, Bushmills Inn; Graham Sparks, McDonalds.

Prior to the event, pupils were required to complete application forms which the advisors subsequently analysed. On the day itself, the advisors conducted mock interviews and provided pupils with positive feedback and constructive criticism.

The experience is invaluable for pupils as many will be required to attend an interview for employment, further education or training.

The Year 12 pupils took great pride in their appearance and conducted themselves professionally throughout the day.

Mrs T Mullan, Head of Careers at Dunluce, who organised the event, is grateful to all the volunteer advisors and to Barbara Hume without whom this day would not have been possible.
