Pupils get hands-on policing experience

Pupils from Larne High School were given a glimpse into the lives of local police officers during a visit to the town’s police station.

The trip was part of a work experience programme and saw the young people enjoy training in a number of areas, such as roads policing, public order, CSI and air support.

The pupils also undertook a PSNI fitness test, and even had the opportunity to don riot gear and perform a mock arrest on their principal, John Armstrong.
