Purpose-built hall planned at Methodist Church

A purpose-built church hall is being proposed at Whitehead Methodist Church.

The planning application for the Balmoral Avenue location was advertised by means of public notice last week.

The project involves the demolition of the existing concrete air raid shelter structure at the site, for which permission is also being sought.

The new energy-efficient hall, according to the application, will be attached to the existing church building with a floor extension over the existing flat-roofed kitchen to the rear of the main building.
