Purse stolen during pickpocket theft in Bow Street

Officers are appealing for any information in relation to a suspected pickpocket style theft of a purse from a handbag in Card Cabin, Bow Street.

The incident has occurred on Monday, December 12 between approximately 1300 and 1315 hours.

If you may have witnessed the incident or have any information please contact Police on 101, quoting serial 1030 12/12/16.

Although not very common this incident highlights the need for shoppers to be vigilant with their belongings, especially at this time of year when shops are very busy.

Consider moving your wallet to your front pocket instead of keeping it in your back pocket and keep handbags closed when not in use.
