Quiggy's pal could fill in for Nadine

Diana Vickers jokingly suggested she could fill in for Nadine Coyle if she doesn't return to Girls Aloud.

The singer has had her own success with single Once which made it to number one on iTunes.

But she said that it would be "great" to have another Girls Aloud album.

She told the Daily Star: "It would be great to have another Girls Aloud album and maybe I could fill in if Nadine doesn't come back. That would be ace."

The 18-year-old also revealed that she is still in touch with her X Factor mentor Cheryl Cole.

She continued: "I don't ring Cheryl and we aren't best friends but she passes along good luck messages to me.

"I got a really lovely email saying how she thought my single was a hit and how well she thought I was going to do, which I thought was very sweet."
