Quiz starter for Broadisland
THE 20th annual Broadisland Gathering will get underway with a seafaring table quiz next Friday, August 24.
The event gets underway at 8pm in Millar’s on Main Street and questions will be based on the seas and seafaring, with admission £3 per person. There will be music by Willie Garret and Friends from Co Down, who play a variety of musical instruments.
The quiz starts a series of events, including a historical bus tour focusing on Home Rule, a lecture on the Ulster Covenant of 1912, a coffee morning, car boot sale and concert featuring female Bluegrass group Wookalily.
Tickets for events will be on sale from next week in CF Beatties and Ballycarry Community Centre, Larne Tourist Information Centre and Carrickfergus museum shop.
