'˜R' driver was travelling at 91mph

An '˜R' driver who was detected travelling at 91mph on the A1 dual carriageway was given five penalty points last Thursday at Banbridge Magistrates Court.

Bogdan Constanin Samson (20), Ashgrove Road, Newry, was also fined £100 and ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy.

Samson, who pleaded guilty himself in court, was detected travelling at 91mph on the A1 on January 27 this year. He was a restricted driver.

District Judge, Mr Alan White, told Samson, who got his licence in September, he was ‘going too fast’ but he would give him one chance.
