Raccoon looks set to be re-homed

The raccoon that was found in a bin in the Lurgan area looks set to be re-homed.

It was found in February by a caretaker and then passed on to C & J’s Animal Park in Portadown.

However, soon after the PSNI swooped and seized the animal.

In the intervening months police conducted follow up enquiries in an attempt to identify an owner, which to date have proved negative.

An application was made to the court to have the racoon re-homed at the same animal park.

It is due to arrive there in the very near future.
