Rachael in fine voice on return to Limavady Grammar School

Singing sensation Rachael O'Connor has encouraged young people to chase their dreams during a surprise visit to her old school.

Rachael, who is a past contestant on the hit TV show ‘The Voice’, spoke to year 11 and 12 classes at assembly at Limavady Grammar School.

Encouraging pupils to make the most of their talents, Rachael recalled that her singing career began when in year 8 she was encouraged to take part in a talent show at school.

Rachael, who recently toured Europe and Israel in the stage show of Michael Flatley’s ‘The Lord of the Dance , was welcomed by school principal Nicola Madden, her former English teachers, Claire Gordon and Mary O’Brien and head of Music, Dr Derek Collins.
