Rachel is a young talent

The Inspirational Young Talent Award was given to a Year 12 student at The Wallace High School, Rachel Bethel.

She has defied her young age to establish herself as a member of the Irish Senior Swimming squad.

Rachel also represented Northern Ireland at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and was the youngest member of the entire Northern Ireland Team.

Rachel took part in the Junior Commonwealth Games in September and despite her intense training regime also volunteers at the group for young adults with special needs.

Additionally, she is an exceptionally able student academically.

Despite her training of 20 hours per week, she volunteers at a local group for young adults with special needs.
