Rachel makes her stage debut

KING’S Park pupil Rachel Luckman has made her stage debut at Belfast’s Grand Opera House.

Rachel (7) was selected to be part of the children’s choir in the recent performances of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”.

She was one of the youngest members of the 30 strong choir from Stagecoach Belfast that took part in this exciting event. Keith Jack, the runner-up in the BBC series ‘Any Dream will do’ played the title role.

When asked what she felt about being part of the Joseph choir she replied, “It was fantastic, I can’t wait for the next one!”

Rachel has been attending the Stagecoach Drama School in Belfast each Saturday since the age of four. Stagecoach offers the chance for children of all abilities, to pursue a career in the arts or simply just to learn some new skills to share with friends and family. As a result, Rachel has been on TV as the penguin in the Recruit NI advert, in the Cbeebies programme, Same Smile and recording the song for the opening credits for Cbeebies Sesame Tree. Rachel has not let fame go to her head; she enjoys school, playing with her friends, reading and drawing.
