Racist graffiti sprayed on wall- police investigate

The incident is being treated as a racist hate crime.

Police received a report shortly before 1.25pm yesterday, Thursday, 20 October, of graffiti having been sprayed on a wall in an alleyway leading from Kilmore Park to Castlevue Park, Moira.

A police spokesperson said: “If you observed any suspicious activity around the area could you please contact Police on 101 quoting serial 589 20/10/16.

“There is no place for this behaviour in our Community and we are keen to follow this up as soon as possible.

“Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
