Rainey pupils shine at GSCE level

THE GCSE results at Rainey Endowed have been excellent. Indeed 18% of all passes were at A* and 45% at A*/A while 90% of all examinations were passed at a standard of A*-C grade. Also 37% of the year group at hat least 6A*/A grades.

Twelve pupils obtained 10A*/A grades: Rebecca Brown, Megan Burns, Amy Conway, Kate Flanigan, Gemma Gregg, Georgina Heath, Rachel Clarke, Andrew Hopper, Lois Kelso, Andrew Parke, Rachel Parke and James Rainey.

Eleven pupils obtained 9A*/A grades: Rebekah Brown, Lois Colgan, Hannah Cousley, Cecelia Graham, Kirsty Hughes, Charlene Junkin, Ruaidhri Maguire (missing from photo), Hannah McMullan, Rebecca Murphy, Megan Murray and Aideen Roddy.

Five pupils obtained 8A*/A grades: Jonathan Brooks, Thomas Mains, Catherine McDowell, David McNally and Sean Toner.

Seven pupils obtained 7A*/A grades: Ryan Brown, Paula Douglas, Rowan Griffin, Chris Moffett, Emily O’Hare, Kenny Reid and Jessie Totten.

“This is a wonderful display of the ability of our pupils. Pupils of Year 12 should be proud of their achievements and of the credit they are to the school,” said a school spokesperson.

“We would also recognise that pupils work in collaboration with the staff of Rainey, who always seek to serve each individual’s best interests. “Congratulations to the pupils, staff and parents who work in partnership to achieve such a high achievement,” said the spokesperson.
