Raise a cuppa to help the Northern Ireland Hospice

Northern Ireland Hospice is encouraging Larne residents and businesses to take a coffee break in aid of their work this September.

The charity’s annual coffee morning takes place on Thursday, September 19 and it is hoped that even more local people will get involved.

2013 is a landmark year for the charity as it is its 21st coffee morning, and to celebrate the Hospice wants it to be a record-breaking year for coffee morning parties and to raise over £70,000 from the event.

With this, the local charity is encouraging everyone to get together with friends, family and colleagues and take a well-deserved coffee break to help raise money towards providing Hospice care services in local communities across Northern Ireland.

The event in association with Ireland’s Biggest Coffee Morning is sponsored by Bewley’s who will supply every coffee morning with a freee supply of freshly-ground Bewley’s coffee to ensure each event is a brewing success.

Every cup of coffee poured will mean £2 has been raised for hospice care in Northern Ireland and every pound will make a big difference says Lynn Cowan, NI Hospice events fundraiser.

“With it being a landmark year, we want to encourage more people to pop the kettle on and host a coffee morning for local hospice care. Whether it’s at home, at work, or in the local community centre, this is a great fundraising event that is very easy to take part in.

“We supply every host with posters, invitation cards, fundraising tips and your all important supply of Bewley’s coffee. All we ask is that you collect £2 for every cup of coffee served. It is amazing that something as simple and as easy can ensure that Hospice continue to care for the thousand of people within Northern Ireland who depend on their services.”
