Rapped over state of property

TWO landlords in the Waterside have been rapped over the knuckles by Derry City Council for allowing their property fall into ruin and become a source of local nuisance.

The owner of a property in the Waterside’s main traditional thoroughfare - Spencer Road - was served with a formal motion for under public health protection information for allowing the building fall into a ruinous and dilapidated building.

Elsewhere the owner of a property in the residential Canterbury Park in Kilfennan has been served with a form of notice requiring the abatement of nuisance.

The information is contained in the Environmental Health report by the Chief Environmental Health Officer for the month of February.
