Rasharkin: 'More support for Residents group'
A CALLER to the Times, who described himself as a Republican from Rasharkin, said more people in the village now support the Residents Association following this year's Ballymaconnelly parade.
The man, who did not want to be named, said: "People here are scunnered with this parade. Why don't they go and march in Ballymoney where they are wanted not here where they are not wanted.
"The village was closed down from about 4.30pm and people couldn't get to gaelic, bingo or to visit the sick.

Hide Ad"Bands came in from places like Coleraine and the bands and their supporters paraded around laughing at us.
"I am fed up with this and Rasharkin is 99 per cent nationalist and I would say people who did not support the Residents Association before this now do," said the caller.
