Rathfriland break-in

Police in Banbridge are appealing for information following an attempted burglary in Rathfriland.

Constable Alan McKinney said: “Sometime between 4pm and 6pm on Thursday, 27 August, an attempt was made to gain entry to a house on Downpatrick Street through a rear window. Fortunately entry was not gained.

“We are asking the local community to remain vigilant to any suspicious activity in the area and would urge residents to report anything out of the ordinary to us at the earliest opportunity. We would also like to hear from anyone who noticed any activity around the area during this time. We can be contacted on 101, quoting ref: 227 280815.”
