Rathfriland man guilty of assault
A 26-year-old man will be sentenced early next year at Banbridge Magistrates Court for two assaults and disorderly behaviour.
David William James McConville, Newry Street, Rathfriland, admitted common assault, assaulting a constable and disorderly behaviour on September 30 this year.
District Judge, Mr Paul Copeland, said the defendant had convictions for assault in the past.
At last Thursday’s court he adjourned sentencing until January 7 so that a pre-sentence report could be obtained.
