Rathlin plans

OUTLINE planning permission has been given by planners for a site for a replacement dwelling in Ballygill South townland on Rathlin.

The applicant is Avril Ross and the approval has been welcomed by Cllr Catherine McCambridge.

There had been two letters of objection which included a claim that the building to be replaced was never a dwelling.

Planning official Julie McMath said it was difficult to conclude with certainty but information was taken onboard and the property was on the first edition of Ordnance Survey maps in 1830.
