RBL celebrate official opening of new kitchen

Last week the Royal British Legion in Ballymoney celebrated the opening of the new kitchen.

Chairman Mark McLaughlin welcomed guests including George Black Northern Ireland RBL Chairman, the Mayor of CCAGC Michelle Knight Mcquillan, Cllr John Finlay and girls from the Resourse Center, Ballymoney. Mark then explained how the project came to the fore saying that a £10,000 grant have been awarded by the Big Lottery Fund. It was then decided by both committees that a new kitchen would be built and a builder started in January. Mark thanked the builder Jeffery Tanner and the Big Lottery Awards. He then asked George Black RBL NI Chairman to cut the ribbon. After the openning, the guests were treated to a buffet before the Mayor said a few words. The President also thanked the two ladies from Iris Catering. Sammy McClements, the secetary of the club explained that a new lift was being installed in April. A table quiz will be held on March 17 at 7.30 for the new lift appeal.
