REACH Across celebrate 15th Anniversary

REACH Across are celebrating their 15th Anniversary by staging a Volunteer Appreciation Night in the River Inn on Friday, August 20. All Volunteers and former Members are welcome to this special evening which will celebrate 15 years of cross-community youth work and the Volunteers who made it all possible.

In the past 15 years, over 5,000 young people have taken part in activity residentials, personal development courses, international projects, school courses, group meetings and leadership courses. Members have taken part in youth programmes in Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Poland, France, Portugal, Estonia, Romania and Bulgaria.

Members have also gained a wide range of qualifications and accreditations, but more importantly they have made friends from different areas and religious backgrounds. In addition, there have been Family Fun Days, Showcase Nights, Summer Schemes, visits to Stormont, inter-club projects, drama performances, cross-border events and numerous outdoor activities.

All of these events have been possible due to the support, commitment and recommendations of Volunteers and this celebration evening aims to acknowledge the efforts of volunteer leaders, committee members and former members since 1995. It will also be an opportunity to catch up with old friends and hear many fun-filled stories relating to REACH Across.
