“Now in its seventh year, the challenge is growing in size and impact every time we do it,” said Hilary Hanberry, Volunteering Manager at Business in the Community.

“As well as raising money, the companies involved also raised awareness within their workplaces of the detection, prevention and support services available from Action Cancer.

“The volunteers from the various businesses used their entrepreneurial skills, business acumen and years of collective experience to increase donations, footfall and sales at the various shops on the day of the challenge.

“This year saw an increase of nearly £20,000 from last year, the most successful challenge to date.”
