Recycling centre to open an extra day
Larne South Household Recycling Centre is to open for an extra day to cope with increasing demand.
The tonnage of waste going through the Ballycarry site, which is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, has almost doubled since it was established in 2011.
Larne Borough Council has now decided the facility should also open on Wednesdays, claiming “the vast majority of users would value an additional day”.
