Redpath re-elected as an UUP officer

Local Councillor Alexander Redpath has been re-elected as an Ulster Unionist Party Officer at the recent Ulster Unionist Spring Conference.

The 12 strong Party Officer team acts as the party’s board of directors and includes the party leader and other senior figures.

“I am delighted to be re-elected to the third term as a party officer,” said Mr Redpath. “The most recent term of the party officer team was marked with considerable success including our significant growth in recent elections.

“In last year’s local government elections we were the only executive party to increase our percentage share of the vote and our share of local government seats. In Lisburn we increased our councillor count from 4 to 6 and I was delighted to be elected for the first time representing Downshire West.”

Lisburn Ulster Unionist Chairman Stuart Hughes commented: “This is a sign of how highly Lagan Valley is regarded within the party.”
