Redpath re-elected as party officer

Lisburn Councillor Alexander Redpath was re-elected an Ulster Unionist Party Officer at the UUP’s recent spring conference.

Mr Redpath will serve as one of the party’s 12 officers alongside Leader Mike Nesbitt and Chairman Lord Empey.

“It’s a tremendous honour to be re-elected to the party’s highest ruling body,” said Mr Redpath.

“This is a sign of the party’s ongoing commitment to Lagan Valley and I will continue to ensure that Lagan Valley remains one of the party’s foremost electoral priorities.

“Over the past year the Ulster Unionist party has achieved a great deal locally and nationally. In Lagan Valley we continue to provide a constituency office to the people of Dromore funded entirely out of party funds. We have selected a strong slate of council candidates and are confident of significant gains in May.”

Mike Nesbitt added: “Alex has served with distinction as a Party Officer and I congratulate him on his re-election. Alex’s service is particularly appreciated given the hard work he puts into representing the people of Lisburn on Lisburn City Council.”
