‘Reflect’ on future of care homes – Dickson

The Alliance representative said that while the Health Minister may have called a halt to the Trust’s controversial consultation process, he feels they have already revealed their “true intentions” for facilities such as Lisgarel in Larne.

“It is quite clear that the Trust wants to close all of them,” Mr Dickson added.

“Constituents tell me that they want residential homes and they want the assurance that family members will have a place in a modern functioning home, as part of the range of options, when particular circumstances arise.”
