Michelle Duddy from the Registrar’s Office said: “Derry City Council is seeking to mainstream Good Relations in all areas of its service provision – specifically on this occasion within its registry service.

“The city is a place of ever increasing diversity with an increasingly global outlook, and with the launch of the new multi-lingual we are recognising that trend. Filling in official documentation in a foreign language can be a daunting process and by producing forms in multilingual format we will improve the sense of inclusion for foreign nationals who are resident in our city.”
