Relatives for Justice launch story telling group for women

WOMEN affected by the Troubles and transgenerational trauma can now share their story as part of a new Dungannon group launched by Relatives for Justice (RFJ)

The women’s group will use discussion and story-telling to identify and highlight the specific needs of women who are bereaved and/or have been injured as a result of the conflict.

The group is part of the Relatives for Justice Transitional Legacy Programme in Dungannon

It will look for solutions and to work with each other towards conflict resolution and peace building.

The project will address the areas where female victims have felt silenced and will develop and understanding of women’s experiences of the conflict and lived effects of trauma.

The group will be based from RFJ offices 42 Irish Street, Dungannon and is funded by Peace III.

It is set up by RFJ to allow women to tell their story, their own point of view of what happened during the conflict
