Release showing at Jethro Centre

The Community Outreach Group continues its spring programme on Wednesday, April 2, in the Jethro Centre at 7.30pm.

It will be showing of ‘Release’, a filmed theatre production by the Theatre of Witness, detailing how the lives of six very different men were profoundly affected as a result of the Troubles.

Each individual’s story will be heard, not from the mouth of an actor, but from the men themselves, sharing their true-life account of what happened and of how they face up to their personal trauma.

Those taking part in the film include a former prison governor, two ex-prisoners, a former police detective, a former British soldier and one who survived a car bomb blast as a young boy.

The group are privileged that two of the participants will be present in the Jethro Centre to take part in a facilitated discussion following the screening of this film.

Everyone is welcome to view this presentation. Admission is free and light refreshments will be served.
