Remembrance night for Harry Fairley who died on Twelfth

A night of remembrance, remembering the life of Harry Fairley is being held Saturday at 8pm in Lurgan Rugby Club.

Harry, a Scottish bandmaster with Broxburn Flute Band, died in Lurgan during the Twelfth celebrations.

Special guests at the remembrance event will be Heather, Scott and Lee Fairley.

Harry’s wife Heather said: “Myself, Scott, Lee, Broxburn Loyalist Flute Band and the Fairley family would like to take this opportunity to thank the people of Lurgan personally for the kindness and support shown to us all on the loss of Harry, you will never know how much it meant to us.

“Words will never be able to express the gratitude we feel and for that we thank you, Harry was a loved and loyal friend to many and would have been so proud of the people of Lurgan in the support and kindness you have shown, we will never be able to repay you and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

“Harry will be greatly missed as a husband, father, son, brother and friend but he has left a legacy that will live in our hearts forever. In Harry’s words ‘Onward and Upward Brox Rool’.”
