Renewed appeal for witnesses to accident that killed Cookstown’s Victor Wylie

Police investigating a fatal road traffic collision on the Moneymore to Cookstown Dual Carriageway on Friday, July 17 have renewed their appeal for witnesses.

They are particularly keen to speak to anyone who noticed a red Ford Transit van in the area.

Victor Wylie, who was in 60s, died when the tractor he was driving was involved in a collision with a blue coloured Honda 4x4 on the Moneymore bound carriageway at around 9.30am.

He was on his way to charity vintage rally.

Con. Rodney Mackenzie said: “We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who noticed a red Ford Transit type van seen in the area around this time.

“If you can help please call police in Cookstown or the Collision Investigation Unit in Maydown Roads Policing Unit on the non-emergency number 101.”
