Repair work continues after major BT cable damaged in Larne
BT says that repair work is ongoing to restore its service in Larne after a major cable at Larne Telephone Exchange was damaged yesterday afternoon (Thursday July 23), affecting telephone and internet services.
A BT spokesperson said that a total of eight BT cabinets were impacted and the areas affected would be in and around The Roddens, Main Street, Glynn Road, Curran Road, Ballymena Road, Upper Cairncastle Road, Fleet Street, Linn Road and Mill Road.
The spokesperson added that engineers will remain on site until the work is fully completed, and that the cause of the damage is “currently under investigation.”
