Residents left shaken in ‘racially motivated’ attack on Magherafelt house

Police in Magherafelt are investigating after a property in Leckagh Drive was attacked.

A group of youths threw fireworks and other items at the house at around 2.50am yesterday.

Local PSNI Sergeant Robinson said: “The residents at the address were left shaken by the incident, which we are now treating as a racially motivated hate crime.

“We are keen to hear from anyone who may be able to help us identify those responsible for this attack,” he said.

“We would especially like to hear from anyone who was in the area during the early hours of this morning as they may have seen something that could help us with our investigation.”
