Residents protest over gas storage proposals
ISLANDMAGEE residents have launched a campaign aimed at stopping the creation of a proposed £250m natural gas storage facility at Larne Lough.
Islandmagee Storage Limited (IMSL) has submitted a planning application to create a 500 million cubic metre natural gas storage facility in Permian salt beds almost a mile beneath Larne Lough.
But more than 40 concerned residents have banded together to oppose the plans by forming the North Islandmagee Action Group.
