Residents sing praises of dedicated decorators

Ballyclare residents have complimented staff who worked through the night to decorate the town’s Christmas tree in sub-zero temperatures.

The praise has been heaped on the workers, after the size of the tree was criticised by many people earlier in the week.

Commenting on Facebook, one person said: “The magic of Christmas. The boys were still at it this morning after 2am! Now that’s dedication for you.”

Another person commented: “I saw the staff working on the tree at 4am. They should be praised as it was very cold and the tree looked well.”

The Christmas lights are set to be turned on tomorrow afternoon at a special event in The Square.
